I THOUGHT I'D BE ABLE TO DO THAT ON MINE. THE CITY TOLD ME, NO. THEY WOULDN'T GIVE ME A PERMIT. BUT THERE ARE THREE GARAGES IN THAT COMPLEX. THEY SAID THEY'D HAVE TO TAKE THOSE DOWN. YOU WENT BY, NOTHING GOT DONE. I SAID, FINE. LET ME JUST ENCLOSE MINE. MY NEIGHBOR, WHO IS OF A DIFFERENT WORLDVIEW THAN I AM, CALL THE POLICE, CAUGHT THE CITY, GOT IT RED TAG. I'VE SPENT THE LAST MONTH TALKING TO LAWYERS OFFICES.

INSTEAD OF FILLING THE POTHOLES WITH GRAVEL, OR ASPHALT, THEY JUST FILLED IT WITH MUD, SAND, AND STUFF. A LOT OF TIMES, THEY DON'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH YOU OWE. SHE WON'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH.

THAT'S FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS PROPOSAL AND THAT PROCUREMENT. WORKING ON ALL CONTRACTS RELATED TO LAND FIELD -- LANDFILL AND SOLID WASTE. YOU CAN SEE HERE, THEY WERE INVOLVED IN THE ORIGINAL ONE WITH THE ADDITION OF THE FACILITY IN 2010, THE GAS CONTRACT, ALSO THE LANDFILL EXPANSION. AND THE WASTE MANAGEMENT CONTRACT THAT WE HAVE NOW IN PLACE THAT WAS COMPLETED IN 2021. THE TRANSITION TO AUTOMATED SERVICES, AS WELL IN 2012. THEY HAVE A LOT OF EXPERIENCE KNOWING THE INTRICACIES IN WHAT IS INVOLVED IN OUR LANDFILL.

THEY ALSO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN LOTS OF OTHER LANDFILLS, WHICH IS REALLY IMPORTANT, AS WELL. SO THE SCOPE OF SERVICES IN A NUTSHELL, DOING THE RESEARCH WOULD BE THE FIRST THING THEY WOULD DO, LOOKING AT REGULATIONS, WHAT'S IN PLACE, WHAT'S WORKING, WHAT'S NOT? FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES. OF COURSE, DEVELOPING THAT PACKAGE. AND THEN THE LAST PIECE AS I MENTIONED BEFORE, THAT POST PROCUREMENT. MAKING SURE WE MEET THE BENCHMARKS, QUALITY CONTROL, MAKING SURE WE SET THE RATES RIGHT OPERATIONALLY, BUYING THE RIGHT YOU ADMIT, WE HAVE A MARKETING PLAN IN PLACE. BASICALLY, IT ASSESSES THAT IMPACT ON THE WASTEWATER SYSTEM, THE WATER SYSTEM, DRAINAGE, ET CETERA CLICK CITIES COME UP WITH A FORMULA TO DETERMINE WHAT'S THAT IMPACT AND WHAT'S THEIR SHARE OF CONTRIBUTING TO THAT? THAT'S WHERE YOU CAN GET INTO THE THOUSANDS AND THE MILLIONS.

I WOULD JUST CAUTION US TO KEEP IN MIND THAT THEY ARE MORE ON THE DAY-TO-DAY RUNNING OF THINGS, AND AREN'T NECESSARILY THE ITEMS THAT TRIGGER RED FLAGS. THOSE FEES, WE DON'T

IN FISCAL YEAR '25, $61 MILLION. THE FEES THAT THE GENERAL FUND IS BUDGETED TO RECEIVE IS BASICALLY LIKE $1.2 MILLION. SO IF WE COLLECT THE NEXT, IT'S REALLY ONLY AN EXTRA $150,000.
